/agree with Clifford. I'm just not loving it, probably won't buy it. I don't like the combat and really the WoW-ish graphics are too happy cartoony for me. I know a lot of people are loving it, and more power to them. I'll just leave that little bit of bandwidth free for them.

I also agree, it annoys the hell out of me how the combat/movement system works and how everything, including chat, is complicated, or at least less simpler then L2, I'm gonna stick with L2... Graphicly speaking, it's more colorful then L2, but I find the characters still too cartoonish for my taste, I have yet to see better graphics then L2.

after the latest news clips that I have read that involved EA (mythic's parent company now...), I am considering forfeiting my pre-order deposit of $5 and just not buying it.
apparently EA are idiots still clinging to DRM instead of letting better innovating drive more sales (you won't stop a pirate who wants to pirate, so stop wasting time on DRM that harms legit buyers). Now, with WAR being a MMO, there will likely be no form of DRM since you have to have a subscription. Still, the wow-ishness in controls and UI annoyed me, and I do agree that after the first month or two I would likely be bored unless RvR is just omgwtfbbqlazerpewpew awesome. That combined with EA being douchebags about DRM on their other titles lately (come on guys... how many YEARS has DRM been a failure???) has me currently shifted from a yes-definitely-buying to an on-the-fence vote.
well, that and there are about to be many games coming down the PS3 pipeline that I have my eyes on.

Ok, so Tura dragged me kicking and screaming into giving it another try. Since mostly all I did was follow him around and kill things, I got a bit of a chance to see the UI and mess with the combat. I still don't think I like it as much as L2 or even AoC. The RvR was fun, even tho we lost . But I can sorta see it losing its fascination after a while. I don't know. I may buy it just cause I'm like that but I doubt I'll be that into it. PvP without trashtalk, imo. Pretty much it seemed just like a castle siege but you couldn't talk to the other guy and didn't lose on death. I've yet to see a chicken but when you kill a cow you get fertilizer. I want to set up cockfights and charge people gold to bet.

Salutations!
Well I was not going to post here but what the heck.
For me I am not going to try it. It's really a simple matter of too little time and too much I still want to try to do in Lineage. I just can't see a new game for me anytime soon. Although, the one I keep thinking about is Aion.
Hugs, Jasmine

when you turn into a chicken is only when the oposite side some to a teir like 1 or 2 tiers below them and they flag they will turn into a chicken. I think on Core servers that doesn't happen anymore but on Open it does. right now i think the Destro way out number the order but Order still wins in RvR if you are really are good at it. I am playing open beta and i like it but of course i loved WoW.

I agree with some of the issues that WAR has. Honestly thou if you think about it WoW copied from EQ since Eq was the first mmo LOL. All games have the same issues no matter what thou. Speaking from a fan of the whole thing. I played both tabletop systems. I want a game that can compete with WoW. I love L2 alot i'am not leaving it anytime soon either. My time card expired LOL. Unlike WoW in WAR when you play EVIL you are EVIL. Read some of the lore about warhammer. The dark elves in warhammer makes Loth in D@D a cute puppy. Chaos would make the lich go into the fetal postion and cry for daddy. Some of the guys in my unit might swirch games totally because WoW is getting old. Yes,yes they have alot of people playing. I play EQ2 also and some of the people left WoW to go back into EQ2 and L2. Don't get me wrong WoW is a good game. Yes there are simmiliar things but the one thing I like about WAR is that IT'S NOT WOW. It's like a breath of fresh air for the genre hopefully. LOL

Yeah to a point WoW was like EQ, but at least it looked totally different and the gameplay was still way different than EQ. So going from EQ to WoW (Which I did) at least felt like a new game, sure it was still an MMO but it was a lot different. But for Warhammer, I feel just like I'm playing WoW, especially things like the character stat screen, backpacks, character movements, spell graphics, character creation, and quest management. I think they could have done a lot better developing new concepts instead of working on improving/changing things WoW already has in place, which is what it seems to me like they did. I mean, obviously they are banking on the success that WoW had and that is probably why they made a lot of the decisions that they did, but I never really liked WoW that much, so for me at least, I dislike Warhammer.

i've officially allowed my pre-order to lapse. i'm still too ticked at EA in general. And, I've priced out what i'll be spending on PS3 games before the end of the year...
